OECD countries spend only 3% of healthcare budget on prevention and public awareness

Brussels, 22/11/2005 (Agence Europe) - In a press release, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) points out: 'National health campaigns encouraging people to be immunised against influenza and discouraging overuse of alcohol and cigarettes are less expensive than curing the diseases they cause.
