Parliament supports “Media 2007” to boost European audiovisual sector

Strasbourg, 28/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, at first reading (co-decision), the European Parliament adopted the report by Ruth Hieronymi (EPP-ED, Germany) on the Media 2007 programme, thus stating its support for co-productions and a competitive digital market in order to overcome the fragmentation and under-capitalisation of the European audiovisual market.
