ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banks

SOCIETE GENERALE is to acquire a 64.25% stake in PODGORICKA BANKA, the second largest bank of Montenegro, for the sum of EUR 14.2 million. The French bank was the only one bidding for repurchase of this stake held by the Montenegrin State. According to the agreement, it will also acquire the 10% stake held by the World Bank under the same conditions, as well as the 9% shared out between several investors.
