Javier Solana welcomes Iraqi referendum results approving the new constitution

Brussels, 26/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 25 October, Javier Solana, EU High Representative for CFSP, commented on the approval by referendum (on 15 October) of a Constitution for Iraq: "I welcome the announcement of the results of the Iraqi constitutional referendum and note with satisfaction the high voter turnout, in particular of the Sunni community.
