Negotiations continuing with FAPL on sale of media rights for English Premier League football matches

Brussels, 26/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Monday evening, the European Commission announced that Competition Commissioner Neelie Kroes had received a reply from Richard Scudamore, Chief Executive of the Football Association Premier League (FAPL) in England in response to her letter of 21 October. The Commission had requested clarifications on the measures put forward by the FAPL on 18 October to end the en block sale of all media rights for English Premier League football matches to Rupert...
