26/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - In Strasbourg on Wednesday, MEP Amalia Sartori presented to reporters her idea for 1 and 2 euro banknotes, backed by a group of 370 cross-party MEPs from across the EU. She said that two Member States, Italy and Greece, had already come out in favour. Consumer organisations in some Member States have also given their backing to the idea.
