Brussels, 21/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - In support of the Plan Hôpital 2007, the EIB has granted a loan of 500 million EUR to the French Ministry for health in order to pay for the accelerated modernisation of hospitals in France. Under the Plan Hôpital 2007, the French State plans to make some 10 billion EUR in additional investments available to its hospital establishments over five years. Over half of this sum will be raised via health insurance competitions, mainly in the form of reimbursement of aid and borrowing costs. It is worth noting that the EIB's Hôpitaux de France operations already in place provided one billion EUR in funding for media and the-dimension hospital investments in France.
