Brussels, 07/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - In July 2005, compared to July 2004, the volume of retail trade remained stable in the eurozone and grew by 0.9% in the EU25. Compared to June 2005 the retail sales index fell by 0.5% in the euro-zone and by 0.2% in the EU25. In July 2005, compared to July 2004, retail trade in “food, drinks and tobacco” dropped by 1.0% in the eurozone, but gained 0.5% in the EU25.
