MEPs give green light to allocation of billion-EUR budget for Galileo

Strasbourg, 07/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - During its plenary session on Tuesday, the European Parliament adopted the report by Etelka Barsi Pataky (EPP-ED, Hungary) at first reading, whereby giving its agreement to the proposal of the Commission to allocate a budget of one billion EUR over the period 2007-2013 for the implementation of the deployment and exploitation phases of the European satellite radio-navigation programme, Galileo (see EUROPE 8976).
