Green light for Czech energy saving programme for transport

Brussels, 22/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - On 20 July, the European Commission agreed to authorise five measures to be taken by the Czech Republic on energy efficiency and renewable energy in the transport sector. The Commission's analysis has shown that most of these measures do not threaten to distort competition in the transport market or affect competition between Member States. For 2005-2008, the Czech Government plans spending totalling CZK 278 million (about €8 million).
