Strasbourg, 27/06/2005 (Agence Europe) - In its adoption, in Strasbourg on 22 June, of the report by British Conservative member David Atkinson and German Social Democrat Rudolf Bindig, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe notes that the Russian Federation, which joined the organisation on 28 February 1996, is still a long way from respecting the commitments it took on that occasion and the obligations incumbent on each Member State of the Council of Europe.
