Autorisation for Strabag to buy Walter Bau - Examination of operation on asphalt mix market in hamburg region referred back to Bundeskartellamt

Brussels, 27/06/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Friday, the Commission decided to authorise the purchase of various parts of the insolvent German construction firm Walter Bau AG by the Austrian company Bauholding Strabag SE. The latter is present globally in all sectors of building,works of art and civil engineering, whereas Walter Bau offers services in the sectors of homes ready to move into (“key in door”), works of art and highway construction.
