In 2004 twelve countries had GDP per inhabitant higher than EU average

Brussels, 06/06/2005 (Agence Europe) - According to Eurostat, in 2004 Luxembourg registered a GDP that was twice as high as the EU25. Denmark, Austria, Netherlands, United Kingdom and Belgium were around 20% above the Community average, whereas Ireland was 40% above it. Sweden and Finland were around 15% above, France and Germany about 10% above and Italy 5%. Countries approaching the average include Spain (5% below the average followed by Greece, Cyprus Slovenia (20% below the average)....
