31/05/2005 (Agence Europe) - On 1 June the European Commission is expected to have an exchange of views on additional funding of development aid through a contribution via plane tickets. Taxation Commissioner Laszlo Kovacs is expected to present his colleagues with a working document for the Ecofin Council on 7 June (EUROPE will be returning to this issue). During their informal meeting last May, finance ministers opted for this form of additional development aid funding, asking the Commission's economic and financial committee to outline the technical and operational modalities for it (EUROPE 8948).
