Return to committee stage for report on reducing Community funding for measures on epizooties

Brussels, 12/05/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has sent back the report by Niels Busk (ALDE, Denmark) to the relevant committee. The report is on the controversial proposal to reduce 50% of the co-funding from the EU measures for tackling foot and mouth disease or swine fever (EUROPE 8819 on European Commission proposal). The EP on Tuesday in Strasbourg effectively threw out Busk's report and called on the Commission to withdraw his proposal on the case. Arguments from the...
