12/05/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has given its support to a four year extension (until 2008-09) for existing production quotas for potato starch, as opposed to the two years proposed by the European Commission (EUROPE 8934). The report by Janusz Wojciechowski (EPP-ED, Poland) on this dossier was adopted on Wednesday at the EP by 546 votes for, 23 against, with 9 abstentions.
