Brussels, 26/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - In her speech before the committee on regional development of the EP on 20 April, Commissioner Danuta Hübner highlighted progress made in the Council and the European Parliament on the Commission's legislative proposals, whilst reiterating the strategic guidelines of the EC for 2007-2013. Whilst the debate in the Council will continue in May and June, notably within the framework of the informal Council of ministers in charge of regional policy on 20 and 21 May in Luxembourg, the EP plans to adopt a series of reports on 5 July on cohesion regulations proposed by the Commission, Ms Hübner indicated. She repeated the Commission's plans to publish an interim report on cohesion on 18 May, plus a communication on the Commission's strategic guidelines for cohesion in late June.
