26/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Transport Council on 21 April noted the request by Transport Commissioner Jacques Barrot encouraging the Community to sign up to the International Maritime Organisation (IMO). The Council entrusted the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the EU (Coreper) to discuss the matter.
