Brussels, 18/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Med Committee meeting on 13 April in Brussels has given a favourable recommendation for the MEDA II Regional Finance Plan for the first half of 2005. According to EuropeAid, this EUR 155 million funded plan includes contributions to the funding of venture capital facilities and for a fund supporting the Euro-Mediterranean investment and partnership facility (FEMIP). This donation will also help support thee actions for supporting inter-Mediterranean dialogue: the “Partnership for Peace” programme, which supports action by Israel and Palestinian civil society, the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for dialogue between the cultures and the MED-PACT partnership programme for cities in the north and south. The plan will also fund continued Euro-Mediterranean actions for the network and studies on security policy and economics
