Opposition between old and new Member States serves as backdrop to debate on “Services” directive

Brussels, 21/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - On 17 March, the European Parliament's committee on the internal market and consumer protection welcomed Jeannot Krecké to take stock of the recent Competitiveness Council (see EUROPE of 8 March) and debate the directive on services in the internal market.
