Javier Solana not budging on EU accession conditions

Luxembourg, 21/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - Javier Solana, is sticking to his guns on EU accession negotiations conditions with Croatia. Questioned last Friday about possible rebellion in the Croatian ranks following the EU's decision to not begin negotiations on 17 March, Solana was quite clear. He explained that if there were protests, Croats were not prepared to begin negotiations with the EU, adding, cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia is a duty.
