21/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - In the run-up to the French referendum on 29 May on the European Constitution, Confrontations Europe, the organisation presided over by Philippe Herzog, former MEP, will welcome Edgar Morin, the author of, among other things, the essay “Ethique” (ethics) and emeritus research director at the CNRS (French National Centre for Scientific Research), for reflection on the meaning of political commitment. “Is Europe a project, a hope which mobilises and transcends our societies and citizens?” the organisation will be asking on 7 April in Paris, in the presence of MEPs Daniel Cohn-Bendit, co-President of the Greens/ALE group, Ari Vatanen (PPE/DE, Finland) and Elisa Ferreira (PSE, Portugal).
