Infringement proceeding against Germany, Greece, Luxembourg and United Kingdom

Brussels, 18/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission decided to start infringement proceedings against Germany, Greece, Luxembourg and the UK, which were ruled against by the European Court of Justice (ECJ) in 2004 for failing to notify the Commission of national implementation measures for the directives of the first railway package by the planned date of 15 March 2003.
