Cristiana Muscardini criticises marginalisation of Italian language within European institutions and announces strike

Strasbourg, 24/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - Speaking before the press in Strasbourg on Wednesday, the Alleanza Nazionale member, Cristiana Muscardini, expressed concern about the fact that the Italian language is being sidelined within the EU institutions (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.15). MEPs from the ranks of the Alleanza Nazionale, she said, will “go on strike” and will not attend the meetings of the Parliament when there is no translation towards Italian or when urgent documents are not...
