Israel's formal request to ban Lebanese group Hezbollah examined in European institutions

Brussels, 11/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - The EU is examining the formal Israeli request to put Hezbollah on the list of terrorist organisations, but no opinion has yet been given in Brussels. The Israeli request was presented at the meeting between the European Troika and Sylvan Shalom, the Israeli Foreign Minister, in the margins of the Euromed ministerial conference in the Hague on 30 November last year.
