11/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - North Korea's announcement that it is a “nuclear power” is “worrying but does not unfortunately come as a surprise”, Karl von Wogau (CDU), Chair of the European Parliament's sub-committee on defence, states in a press release. He said one must now hope that China (which is taking part in the six-party talks with both Koreas, the United States, Russia and Japan) will manage to bring North Korea back to the negotiating table.
