Luxembourg, 11/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Court of Justice has declined jurisdiction on questions relating to interpreting Community law asked of it by a Belgian arbitration panel, which was set up to rule on disputes between travel agencies and their clients. The Court of Justice explains that it cannot answer the questions put to it by the panel because it is not officially a court with the right to ask for preliminary rulings as per the EC treaty.
