EU keeps pressure up on Croatia for arrest of general Gotovina before opening membership talks

Brussels, 07/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - Once more, the European Union has urged Croatia to arrest the fugitive Croatian general, Ante Gotovina, who is indicted by the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia (ICTY), if it hopes to begin talks on European Union membership on 17 March as planned. “We expect the Croatian government to find the fugitive and to extradite him to The Hague”, the EU President-in-Office, Luxembourg's Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn, said on Saturday...
