Brussels, 01/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - In December 2004, unemployment in the Euro zone rose to 8.9%, as opposed 8.8% in November, stable compared to December 2003. In the EU 25 it remained 8.9%, unchanged compared to November 2004 and experiencing a fall of 0.2% compared to December 2003 (9.1%). Among the 23 Member States: nine experienced an increase in their unemployment rates, twelve recorded a decrease and in two it remained stable.
