Hungary is second country to ratify EU's new Constitutional Treaty

Brussels, 20/12/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Monday, the Hungarian parliament ratified the EU's new Constitutional Treaty, making Hungary the second country (after Lithuania, another new Member State) to complete the ratification procedure. The European Constitutional Treaty was endorsed by 304 of the 385 Hungary MPs. Nine parliamentarians voted against, and eight abstained. Sixty-four parliamentarians were absent for the vote.
