Social partners generally happy with 'Maastricht Communique'

Brussels, 17/12/2004 (Agence Europe) The European social partners (employers and trade unions, ETUC, Unice and UAPME) attended a conference on European professional education and training cooperation in Maastricht on 14 and 15 December, and gave a broadly warm welcome to the 'Maastricht Communique' updating and adapting the measures taken two years ago in Copenhagen (see EUROPE of 16 December, p.17).
