No agreement on affirming EU's will to strengthen international civil liability regime in event of maritime pollution

Brussels, 09/12/2004 (Agence Europe) - EU Transport Ministers, who met in Council on Thursday, did not reach an agreement confirming the EU's wish to strengthen the international civil liability regime in cases of maritime pollution, with a view to reviewing this regime within the International Maritime Organisation (IMO). The Council's draft conclusion initially foreseen has finally not been adopted as some delegations (Cyprus, Malta and Greece) expressed their wish to work on it more...
