09/12/2004 (Agence Europe) - The elections held in Mozambique on 1 and 2 December were "free and transparent", and conducted "very professionally", according to British Labour MEP Glenys Kinnock, co-president of the ACP/EU joint parliamentary assembly. The EP delegation was able to visit many polling stations, she noted. However, she noted with regret that turnout had been very low (around 40%, according to initial estimates).
