According to detailed Commission proposal on future GSP, China will lose tariff preferences for textile exports - "Good news for all", says Lamy

Brussels, 20/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the Commission adopted its proposal for a regulation in which it sets out, in detail, the basic parameters for the EU's new Generalised System of Preferences (GSP) that should be operational for the period 2006-2008, in order to make it more simple, more transparent, more objective and more targeted on developing countries that really need it. These parameters, we recall, had not been set out in the communication adopted by the Commission...
