EU appeals WTO ruling

Brussels, 15/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Commission announced on Friday that it would appeal against the conclusions of the dispute panel of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), which ruled against the regime of European subsidies on sugar exports (EUROPE of 9 September, p.11), and whose final verdict was published on Friday (www.wto.org).
