City Summit 2004 to focus on urban policy in Europe

Brussels, 15/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - The City Summit 2004 in Noordwijk (the Netherlands) on 18/19 October will look at the new challenges facing urban areas in the enlarged Europe, and urban activity under the future Cohesion Policy. The future of the EU's urban policy will be the subject of a lively debate since various Member States, in debate over the EU's budget for 2007-2013, oppose the continuation of this policy.
