27/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - The EU Council of Ministers adopted without debate last Friday a decision allowing the extension for one year (until 9 April 2005) of the agreement on mutual fishing relations signed between Portugal and South Africa. The agreement, which had been signed on 9 April 1979, took effect the same day for an initial ten-year period. It has since been renewed each year.
