Loyola de Palacio lays foundation for strengthening Euro-Mediterranean cooperation

Brussels, 27/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - The go-ahead to the cooperation project between the EU and Mashrek in the gas sector was given this weekend during the visit to the region by Energy and Transport Commissioner Loyola de Palacio. The Commissioner's visit, from 23 to 27 September, to Jordan and Egypt ended with the inauguration of a Galileo cooperation centre for the Euro-Mediterranean region (see below).
