27/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - The EU Council of Ministers adopted without debate, last Friday, a decision allowing a one year extension (until 7 March 2005) of the agreement on mutual fishing relations singed between Spain and South Africa. The agreement, which had been signed on 14 August 1979, took effect on 8 March 1982 for an initial ten-year period. The agreement has since been renewed each year.
