10/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - Torsten Gersfelt took up his duties as vice-president of the European Investment Bank (EIB) on 1 August 2004, the bank has announced in a press release. Mr Gersfelt succeeds Michael Tutty, who had come to the end of his four-year tenure. Mr Gersfelt, born in 1945 of Danish nationality, was appointed by the EIB Governing Council on a proposal by Denmark, Greece and Ireland.
