Reducing formalities under European legislation by one third would lead to growth of 1.7% in EU, says Presidency

Brussels, 10/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - The burden of bureaucracy imposed by European legislation represents a burden of 340 billion EUR for businesses, according to a document presented by the Dutch Presidency during the informal Ecofin Council in Scheveningen (The Hague) on Friday.
