Jacques Barrot attends Conference of Presidents of extremely remote areas

Brussels, 06/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - At the conference of the Presidents of the RUP (extremely remote areas) in the Azores, Commissioner Jacques Barrot summed up the Commission's main actions on 3 September (communication on the reinforced partnership for the RUP of 26 May 2004, and the "cohesion" package of 14 July, both of which have been detailed by EUROPE), which will help to boost the competitiveness of economies in these area.
