Brussels, 06/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Committee of the Regions (CoR) and the European Commission (DG Regional Policy) are to hold Open Days from 27 to 30 September, in which over 70 organisations representing the regions and cities of European will take part. Over 60 seminars, workshops and training sessions are on offer to participants, who can learn about the practices and reform of regional policy. Commissioners Jacques Barrot and Peter Balazs, CoR President Peter Straub and its vice-president Albert Bore, the president of the EP's committee on regional development Gerardo Galeote Quecedo and a representative of the Dutch Presidency of the Union will introduce and close the Open Days.
