Philippe Busquin visits Libya

Brussels, 06/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - During a visit to Tripoli on 3 and 4 September, European Commissioner for Research, Philippe Busquin (who is to become an MEP and who will be replaced in the Barroso Commission by the Slovenian Janez Potocnik), discussed with the Libyan authorities a possible scientific and technical agreement with the EU, as part of Libya's accession to the Barcelona process. Research co-operation could focus on genomics and veterinary topics to do with herds of goats...
