Brussels, 02/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - Bernard Bot, Dutch Foreign Minister and President of the EU Council, took a stance on Thursday when speaking before the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs against the idea that the EU could offer Turkey a "privileged partnership" or any other specific relationship if it decided in December not to open accession talks with Ankara.
