Brussels, 26/08/2004 (Agence Europe) - In Official Journal L275 of 25 August 2004, the European Commission has published three fisheries regulations banning the fishing by Swedish and Belgian ships of species whose quotas have been used up before the end of the year. Swedish ships may no longer fish common sole (in Skagerrak, Kattegat, Sund, Belts and the Baltic Sea) or northern prawn (in Norwegian waters). Belgium may no longer fish plaice in the Bristol Channel and south-east Ireland.
