Commission expected to revise nuclear safety plan downwards

Brussels, 26/08/2004 (Agence Europe) - On 8 September, the European Commission is expected to revise its draft directives on nuclear safety and waste management. Faced with a front of Germany, United Kingdom, Sweden and Finland at the Council, refusing any binding measures, it is expected to replace Community deadlines with national plans for radio-active waste.
