Brussels, 22/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Monday, the Council formally adopted the decision to postpone until July 2005 the date for the entry into force of the directive on tax on savings. This six months' postponement should allow the simultaneous entry into force of measures within the directive in the EU, and of the EU/Switzerland agreement on savings invested in Switzerland by residents of the EU.
