Council adopts decisions revising Indian and Pakistani rice concessions

Brussels, 22/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Monday EU Member State agriculture ministers adopted by qualified majority decisions modifying certain Pakistani and Indian rice concessions. Denmark, Sweden and the United Kingdom votes against the texts, while Lithuania, Czech Republic and Slovakia abstained. The Council also adopted another decision revising the Community system for importing rice to take into account agreements concluded with these countries.
