09/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - The decision taken by the European Council on 29 June in Brussels, to appoint José Manuel Durao Barroso as President of the European Commission has been published in the Official Journal L 236 of 7 July 2004 (EUROPE of 30 June, p.4). The decisions regarding the nomination of Javier Solana and Pierre de Boissieu appeared in the same edition of the OJ.
